This 2000 Franciscan statement is being brought to life through Sister Loretta Denfeld's daily actions. She makes encouragement of and involvement with our associates a priority. Sister is an active member of the Associate Advisory Council and co-coordinates our Franciscan Life Community in the Saint Cloud region. Sister Loretta's planning for meetings, presentations and encouragement through her selfless giving is a great reflection of her ongoing challenge for each of us – to walk in the footprints of Francis and Clare, something she's been doing as a Franciscan Sister for 52 years. Much of her work has taken her far beyond the small town of Foley, Minn., where she grew up. Currently, Sister ministers as spiritual director and member of the ministry team at the Franciscan Welcoming House, living in community with four Franciscans in Saint Cloud. The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, Minnesota, is a community of Roman Catholic women religious who follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, walking in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare of Assisi. We welcome those who wish to join us as sister, associate, volunteer, transfer sister, friend and donor. We live lives of prayer in community and in service to the poor as we seek to build a more peaceful world and to care for the Earth. We sponsor the St. Francis Music Center and St. Francis Health & Recreation Center, both open to the public.
