Sister Mary Dorine Zupan, 87, died on May 4, 2009, at St. Gabriel's Hospital, Little Falls, Minn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Convent on Saturday, May 9, at 11 a.m.. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent on Friday, May 8, from 4 - 8:30 p.m. and  from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral on Saturday, May 9. A wake service will be held at the Convent at 7  p.m. on Friday, May 8.  Arrangements are by the Shelley Funeral Chapel, Little Falls.

Sister Mary Dorine (Irma) Zupan was born on May 29, 1921, in St. Cloud, Minn. She was the seventh of nine children born to Frank and Adela (Sand) Zupan. She was accepted as a Franciscan Sister of Little Falls Minnesota on August 12, 1940. She made her first profession of vows on August 12, 1942, and final vows on August 12, 1945. She was a Franciscan Sister for 68 years..

Sister Dorine ministered as a physical therapist. She served in Alexandria, Moorhead, Little Falls, Onamia, Breckenridge and Sauk Centre, Minn.; Dodgeville, Milwaukee, Cudahy and Darlington, Wis. 

Sister Dorine was preceded in death by siblings: Edna Kleis, Norbert, Raymond, Florence Henkemeyer, Robert, Mildred Norton and Vera Schwinghammer. She is survived by her sister, Helen Smuda, Rhinelander, Wis.; nieces and nephews and her Franciscan Community.
