Our desire is to provide information and ideas of how we can all make differences that will benefit our earth.
As a business member, educator, artist or non-profit group, we invite you to exhibit your "green and sustainable" products and services or to promote your earth-friendly message to the public at this event, free of charge. You'll have a chance to connect with residents in our area who are looking for ways to adopt more eco-friendly lifestyles and consumer choices.
We ask that exhibitors meet at least one of the following "environmentally sustainability criteria":
Education/Promotion of environmental values
Energy efficient/renewable energy.
Examples: energy-efficient lighting, appliances and vehicles; Smart Growth; telecommuting technologies and practices; electricity produced by photovoltaic panels.
Conserves/protects water and/or air.
Examples: water-conserving home appliances and lawn and garden care; permeable pavement and constructed wetlands; no-VOC paints.
Less toxic/Plant based products.
Examples: environmentally friendly cleaning products; low/no-VOC paints; mercury-free vehicles; organic lawn and garden products and techniques.
Locally/Regionally produced products.
A product grown/manufactured near the location of its use.
Reduces waste; durable/reusable items.A product with less packaging, creates less waste in its manufacturing, designed for long life or a secondary use after its original use. Examples: canvas shopping bags, salvaged building materials, rebuilt auto parts, compostable products or biodegradable packaging.
Recycled content.
Examples: recycled papers, carpet, paint, plastic wood.
Organic. Examples: organic food, organic clothing, Energy Star, Fair Trade, FSC, Food Alliance, LEED, Green-e, other.
Health & Wellness.
Examples: businesses or products taht promote teh overall health and well-being of individuals.
Art.
Examples: recycled art, folk art, any and all artisans, items that have been "upcycled", taking a waste material and making it into something useful.
Food.
Examples: organic &/or local food vendors that will serve food to the public at the festival. If prepared on site, you must have a food vendor permit through Morrison County Public Health.
