The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invite the public to attend an Advent Day of Reflection entitled, Receiving Life as a Gift, on Saturday, December 1, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., in St. Francis Hall, St. Francis Convent, Little Falls.
G. K. Chesterton said, “Everything looks better when it looks like a gift.” Who knew this better than Saint Francis of Assisi? He understood that everything that is, is given by God. Advent is a season that calls us to enter more deeply into our hearts and find there the emptiness that God is just waiting to fill. Talks, personal reflection and small group sharing will help participants explore their own sense of being gifted by the God who is always on the way to us.
Presenter, Sister Elise Saggau, OSF, has many years of experience in education and Franciscan formation. She was editor of The Cord, an international Franciscan spiritual review and also served as assistant director of publications at the Franciscan Institute, St. Bonaventure, New York. Sister Elise now writes and gives talks, especially on Franciscan spirituality.
Suggested donation: $15. Lunch is included. For more information, or to register by November 22, contact the Franciscan Life Center at (320)632-0668 or firstname.lastname@example.org; www.fslf.org.
